Hardwood

Did you know that American Cherry Hardwood is 27% softer than oak? What we are saying is not all hardwood is hard. But you don't have to worry. At Floor Trends we are hardwood specialists and we will let you know what is right for your particular installation. Wood floors have come a long way in the past few years. With more species of wood to choose from and easier to care for finishes, wood is a great alternative for areas that at one time were relegated to vinyl or ceramic.

At Floor Trends we carry every imaginable type of wood. Red Oak, White Oak, Ash, Beech, Pine, American Cherry, Walnut, Hard Maple, Hickory, Brazilian Cherry, Teak, Merabu, Maria Rosa, etc. How about 2 1/4", 3 1/4", 4" or 5" wide, hand scraped finishes medalions or borders? What if you want to put hardwood in the basement? All these possibilities can be realities at Floor Trends because we are hardwood specialists.

Whether unfinished or prefinished, Floor Trends has what you need. At Floor Trends we use 98% dust free sanding equipment. This means if you use unfinished wood, we trap 98% of the dust created. Don't have the time required for unfinished? No problem-choose from one of the area's largest selections of prefinished floors, installed usually in one day by our hand-picked professional installers. Your home is back in order quickly.

Is your existing hardwood just looking tired? Not a problem: This is where hardwood really shines. It can be refinished and look brand new. Just call Floor Trends where we do rescreens and resands.

Green, renewable and environmentally friendly hardwood is a great choice for floors.

Laminate

If you want a floor that looks good, extremely fogiving and easy to maintain, then laminate may be the floor for you. New manufacturing techniques allow manufacturers to produce very realistic patterns. The use of tough outer coating gives laminate floors unparalelled scratch resistance. This outer coating resists most stains, spills and burns. Not enough? How about the high density core-it can withstand more psi than almost any other floor made today.

Laminate floors use the floating method of installation. This unique installation method allows us to install laminate floors that float over your existing floor, usually without all the extensive floor preparation needed for other floors.

If you would love to have hardwood, but are concerned about scratches and maintainence, consider laminate.

Ceramic

You will be amazed at the variety of patterns, colors, sizes, shapes and textures now available in tile. Using sophisticated manufacturing techniques, today's tiles look more like the real thing and much easier to maintain. Whether it is ceramic, porcelain or natural stone, you can be sure that Floor Trends has what you need.

Floor Trends handles tile from some of the largest manufacturer's. American Olean, Florida Tile, Dal Tile and Mohawk are just a few of the brands we handle. So if you are looking to put tile on a backsplash, jacuzzi, shower, kitchen or bath floor, you can be sure that Floor Trends has the right product for your decor and at the right price for you budget.

Cork

When you hear cork, you immediately think of stopper on wine bottles, but cork is not a new type of floor. Cork has been used for floors since the early 1900's. Just like hardwood it is available unfinished and prefinished. Comprised of a renewable natural materal, cork is not only environmentally friendly, it is also warm, comfortable, resilient, anti-microbial, fire resistant and inherently resistant to molds, mildew and common pests such as termites.

Available in tile format, cork is the perfect choice for those areas you might be considering for hardwood, but want something a little different.
